Set desk, 2 cabinet and set of 3 chairs: Important Bureau Plat. A freestanding desk modelled after the work of the French master cabinet makers, circa 1900.
The bureau plat is made in rosewood and mahogany veneer with 7 drawers, rich bronze mounts some of which in the form of female heads, (known as Espagnolettes), and a three-part leather-lined writing surface. Ca. 80 x 177 x90 cm, with some ageing and wear. Glass-fronted bookcase. A modified Transition style made circa 1910/20. A serpentine oak bookcase with screw construction to enable dismantling, with rosewood and mahogany veneer, 2 full side doors, 2 glazed doors and bronze mounts. Ca. 210 x 222 x 56 cm, with some ageing and wear. Set of 2 recliners and 1 small fauteuil
A modified Louis XV style. Hardwood chairs with mostly rosewood veneer, restored upholstery and bronze applications. With some veneer losses, otherwise in cared-for condition
