Green Opaline Mirror and Perfume Stand Baccarat, France, Mid-19th Century (Napoleon III Period)
An exceptional green opaline glass vanity set comprising a central oval mirror flanked by two opaline columns and four matching perfume bottles, all mounted on a white marble base with elaborate gilt bronze mounts in the Pomponne style. The mirror is surmounted by a classical allegorical crest and accompanied by seated cherubs at either side. The opaline bottles feature gilt caps and floral overlays, and a central gilt cup completes the composition. An exquisite example of Napoleon III decorative art.
