Architectural Mamluk Revival Entrance Mirror
Egypt, Late 19th – Early 20th Century
An elaborately carved mamluk revival entrance mirror, inspired by Islamic architectural forms. Crafted from richly grained wood, the piece features a high arched back with finely turned spindles, keyhole arches, crenellated cornices, and geometric friezes. The upper section is inset with a rectangular mirror framed by miniature columns and arches, while the lower base includes a tiered platform for display or utility. A striking piece reflecting a blend of traditional craftsmanship and orientalist taste.
