East Caucasus, approx. 372x 272 cm, circa 1900, as the name implies, the large flat weave is produced in the Sumakh technique, and is among the medallion Sumakhs with elongated diamond-like motifs, the piece is in a compact condition - however it is heavily restored with many stitched and re-woven areas, and largely supplemented corroded brown in the main border, ends damaged and only barely preserved, Shirazi repaired on both sides.
