Monumental porcelain ewer "Ashurelik" with a beak in a goose beak shape topped with applied flowers. More flowers are applied to the body starting from the base of the handle downwards. Marking JP for Jacob Petit.
Provenance: A member of the Ottoman Imperial family
Origin : France mid 19th century. H - 68 cA refined pair comprising a baluster-form vase and a matching centerpiece bowl, each crafted in the Sèvres manner and mounted in finely cast gilt metal. The porcelain bodies are delicately hand-painted with romantic 18th-century figural scenes and floral garlands, framed within gilt cartouches. Accented with enamel cloisonné mounts, both pieces display exceptional craftsmanship and decorative charm.
